How to use your Ergodyne® Chill-Its® Phase Change Cooling Vest and Pack:
The Chill-Its Phase Change Cooling Pack
maintains a 55 degree F [13 degree C] temperature
for cooling the body.
You can recharge the cooling pack as follows: cooler of ice water–10
minutes; freezer–15 minutes; refrigerator–25
minutes; near an air conditioner–1 to 2 hours.
CARE: The cooling pack should be washed by
hand with mild detergent and warm water. Dry
with a paper towel or cloth. DO NOT machine
wash or machine dry. The fabric carrier is
machine washable in mild soap; line dry.

The Chill-Its® Phase Change Cooling Pack
maintains a 55 degree F [13 degree C] temperature
for cooling the body. You can recharge the

Place the recharged cooling pack in the vest
pockets. The cotton fabric carrier is treated
with Banox FR3 for flame-resistant properties.
Hook-and-loop closures adjust at the shoulders
and around the body for a comfortable fit.

WARNINGS: Chill-Its
Phase Change Cooling Vests are tough and resilient, but they should
never be used in place of protective gear. In the
unlikely event that a cooling pack leaks, do not
ingest the liquid. In case of accidental ingestion,
contact a physician immediately. DO NOT induce
vomiting. If the liquid comes in contact with skin,
wash the affected area with soapy water for 15
minutes. If the liquid comes in contact with eyes,
flush eyes with water for 15 minutes. In case of
fire, extinguish with a dry chemical or foam. The
cooling pack plastic, if exposed to temperatures
above 208º F (98º C), may catch fire. The liquid in
the cooling pack will boil at 320º F (160º C). Dispose
of the cooling pack using a chemical incinerator
equipped with an afterburner and scrubber.
